The other element to remember is that by charging too little you will fail.Prices can be calculated by basic market research. What is meant by this is look at the competition to see what they are charging. Also try speaking to friends and ask them if they think your prices are too much.How you sell your canvas art is your next main consideration. The major outlets are door2door, local markets and online. Selling door to door although it has been done before can still be effective. Supplying customers through local markets can be challenging as well as rewarding. The web is potentially the place where you are considering selling. Selling through auction sites has probably occurred to everyone as well but is a minefield. Values on internet auction sites are terrible as far as the art market goes. However if all you need to make is a small profit then don't rule it out. What you sell is probably the most important thing. The selection will almost certainly come down to conservative, main stream as well as the outright mad. Traditional paintings will almost certainly include landscapes, portrait paintings, still life art and various of scenes.Modern art is a big area too much to try to explain here. To keep it simple I will mention that there are many vivid colors around. There are many unusual styles and shapes out there with no restrictions.The unusual art that is available takes you right on a journey. There are pieces that are so tiny they would fit into a small cupboard.
